Transportation to and Around Molokai

There are three ways to get to Molokai: a 25-minute flight on a local air carrier from Oahu's Honolulu International Airport, Maui's Kahului Airport (OGG) to Molokai Airport (MKK), or the daily inter-island ferry from neighboring Maui.

It's best to rent a car on Molokai. The island is easy to navigate with only one two-lane highway stretching across it that runs east to west. Some trips may require the use of a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Quantities of these are limited so make reservations well in advance. While on Molokai simply relax while driving and remember the highest posted speed limit is 45mph (72kph).

Ferry Service:

Molokai Princes - Ferry service on the Molokai Princess crosses the Kalohi channel twice a day between Lahaina Harbor and Kaunakakai Harbor, once in the morning, once in the late afternoon. Enjoy a scenic cruise from Maui on a large, high-speed passenger ferry, often in the company of Spinner Dolphins and Humpback Whales (in season).
